First aid in a hunting accident
Hunting accidents often happen in difficult-to-reach terrain. The emergency doctor, rescue service, mountain rescue service and fire brigade often take a long time to get to the injured person. Typical injury patterns include fractures, cuts or gunshot wounds. The TCRH Mosbach offers tailored training for the care of people injured in hunting accidents.

Prerequisites:
An Basic course in first aid is desirable but not mandatory.
Theoretical content (excerpt):
- Legal basis for first aiders
- Call the emergency
- RV procedure
- Differences, problems and treatment of
- stab wounds
- Cut injuries
- gunshot wounds
- Instruction in Individual First Aid Kits (IFAK): “When do I use what and how?” using the OPCON IFAK as an example.
Practical content (excerpt):
- Basics of assessing the situation at the scene of the incident
- C/ABCDE scheme (MARCH-ON SCHEMA)
- Focus training with tourniquet, wound packing, emergency pressure bandage (ChestSeal + NDC)
- Recovery and rescue from confined spaces and difficult positions (cars, high seats)
