The American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Course (ACLS) teaches participants the skills of advanced adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation and competent intensive care after resumption of circulation. Course requirements

The prerequisite for the course is a pass Basic Life Support Course within the last two years, completing the e-learning module and being physically fit to be able to work practically in adult resuscitation.

Skill training

The ACLS course also addresses advanced airway management using conventional and video laryngoscopy as well as various common access routes to the circulatory system and the associated practical pharmacology.

Teamwork and team dynamics

In real life, our patients not only benefit from a competent helper, but above all from the interprofessional interaction of the individual specialists. In addition to effective team dynamics based on the AHA's proven system, human factors, crew resource management, play a crucial role in our courses. In this context, we train good communication and successful teamwork. All trainers are certified AHA instructors with experience in university training. You have many years of experience in clinical and pre-hospital emergency care and the implementation of advanced measures.

Examination, certificate and further training points

The course ends with practical tests and a written exam.
The course participants receive an international provider certificate that is valid for two years, as well as CME points from the Baden-Württemberg State Medical Association.
