Offers from the TCRH as a provider for the recognition of educational time
The TCRH Training Center Rescue and Help was recognized by the Karlsruhe Regional Council as an educational institution for the recognition of educational time.
Educational time is known in other federal states as “educational exemption”, “educational leave” or “employee further training”.

What is educational time?
Educational time is paid time off from work for further professional or political training or to qualify for certain voluntary activities on the basis of the Baden-Württemberg Educational Time Act (BzG BW) and the associated ordinance regulating educational time for qualifying for voluntary activities (VO BzG BW).
For this purpose, the Baden-Württemberg Education Time Act (BzG BW) came into force on July 1, 2015. This means that employees in Baden-Württemberg are also entitled to be granted leave by their employer for up to five days per year for further training. The exemption takes place with continued payment of wages.
Qualification measures for carrying out voluntary activities within the meaning of the Baden-Württemberg Educational Time Act (BzG BW) may only be carried out by recognized providers or at recognized educational institutions according to BzG BW. You are responsible for ensuring that the educational time offers meet the requirements of the BzG BW.
With the approval of the Karlsruhe Regional Council in May 2022, the TCRH is such a recognized provider or recognized educational institution.
Educational time offers from the individual federal states
Bavaria and Saxony are currently the only two federal states in which there is no legal entitlement to educational time or educational leave.

Apply for training time from your employer
Applications for training time must be submitted to the employer in writing or electronically at least nine weeks before the start of the measure or the planned training period. It is recommended to use the form below to apply for educational time.
