Basic and advanced courses
The training of company paramedics is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the German Statutory Accident Insurance (DGUV Principle 304-002) (Link) and consists of a basic course (63 teaching units) and an advanced course (32 teaching units) plus examinations.
The course content is based on the requirements of the professional associations and covers the following subject areas:
- Anatomy/physiology
- Disease theory
- Rescue and transport techniques
- Storage types
- Resuscitation including automatic external defibrillation (AED)
- Care for acute illnesses
- Care for traumatological emergencies
- Hygiene
- Nursing care for the injured and sick
- Documentation
- Law
Requirements for the basic training course “company paramedic”
The prerequisite for the basic course is proof of a first aid course (9 teaching units) that is no older than two years and the advanced course can only be attended after successfully completing the basic course.
Advanced course “company paramedic”
The TCRH Mosbach usually offers the basic and advanced courses as one consecutive course.
