Range of tasks: Advanced first aid
Compared to the company first aider, the task of the extensively trained company paramedics is to provide extended first aid. In addition to the basic first aid measures, they also master the use of (auxiliary) devices, such as resuscitators, secretion suction pumps and oxygen treatment devices.
Where are company paramedics deployed?
The use of BG-recognized company paramedics is mainly required in larger companies, as well as construction sites and in companies with a particular risk potential.
At least one company paramedic is required in companies (§ 27 BGV A1) with more than 1500 insured people present. Even if there are more than 250 insured people present, if the type, severity and number of accidents require this, and on construction sites, a company paramedic is required even if there are more than 100 insured people present.
