Afterwards, project coordinator Dr. Christina Jehle provides an overview of the requirements for a cadaver testing team, the current status of applications and the course schedule.

Michael Müller from the deployment department of the BRH Federal Association of Rescue Dogs e.V. explained the process of deploying the ASF cadaver testing teams and the services provided by the TCRH to the authorities in the event of an epidemic.

Training human-dog teams

Afterwards, training manager Kai Uwe Gries led the participants through the training to become the ASP cadaver testing team in the outdoor area.

His competent team of trainers demonstrated the screening of the teams, the odor input and the different display types at several stations.

Some participants were able to test with their own dogs whether they were interested in the wild boar carcass in the differentiation series.

The reactions of the dogs and also the dog handlers to this type of training, which was previously unknown to them, were very positive, so that several new applicants were won for training to become the cadaver testing team.
