Violence in medical practices – basic seminar

In a survey of 82369 practicing physicians and 2709 psychotherapists, 39% of physicians and 21% of psychotherapists stated that they had had personal experiences with verbal violence in the last 12 months. 4% of doctors and 2% of psychotherapists have even had personal experiences with physical violence in the last 12 months.

These are 2870 verbal and 75 physical attacks per day!

Often doctors and their staff are not equipped or trained to deal with such situations. De-escalation and the correct way to deal with attacking people are often not known or are not applied adequately.

This seminar, led by Mario Pröhl and Dr. Matthias Gelb, is intended to prepare you, your employees and colleagues for such situations and help you in theory and practice to react in advance and apply countermeasures.

The content of the training aims to recognize and evaluate threats in advance in one's own work environment and to be able to take appropriate behavioral measures. Scenarios from everyday working life are discussed as well as so-called “special situations”, i.e. rampages and terrorist attacks.

Another component is the acute medical care of typical serious injury patterns such as stab and gunshot injuries under extreme conditions.

target audience for this seminar: doctors, psychotherapists and practice employees. One Minimum number of 12 people is required in order to be able to carry out the practical exercise part. We therefore reserve the right to cancel the seminar if the number of participants is insufficient. The maximum number of participants is 20 participants.

Please remember to wear comfortable and practical clothing for the exercise part.

An application has been made for the seminar to be recognized by the Baden-Württemberg State Medical Association as a certified training event.

The next appointment takes place on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m at the TCRH Training Center Retten und Helfen GmbH Mosbach.

The Seminar fee is €210 (gross) per participant.

Südwestpresse: In the training center for emergency services

Destroyed buildings, burnt-out cars, an overturned bus with broken windows, mountains of rubble, concrete and iron: in the diffuse light of the winter morning, a scene like something out of a disaster film reveals itself on the site of the former Neckartal barracks in Mosbach in the Neckar-Odenwald district.
